From the supplier: The John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co developed a thorough security system for the child care center of its employees' children. The company's first step in ensuring a well-prepared plan was to gather information on the protection given by other companies to their child care facilities. All relevant codes and regulations, such as state building codes, were also reviewed. When the security systems were installed, which included magnetic locking devices, procedures for evacuation, power outages and inclement weather were developed. In addition, security officers for the center were trained in infant care and Red Cross child care.
