From the supplier: A survey was conducted in Memphis, TN, to determine public opinion regarding the establishment of a state lottery and casinos in the state. The survey also asked respondents about related tax issues and their actual experiences of casino gaming. Results showed that 58.9% of respondents approve of a state lottery. Only 52.6% approve of casino gaming. Age, gender, income and education were important factors in the acceptance of state lotteries and casino gaming.
