From the supplier: U.S. Rep. Bob Filner, D-CA, introduced a bill to protect churches' fire insurance coverage in the wake of the 1996 outbreak of arson attacks on houses of worship. The bill would prevent insurance companies from canceling or changing the fire insurance policies of houses of worships, and would guarantee that churches which are the victims of arson are not held responsible by their insurers. Rep. Filner claimed that the four-point plan created by the industry was inadequate.
